What is AutoCAD?

An AutoCAD file can contain more than one kind of drawing. Drawing sets can have different types of drawings, as well as different sets of layers (viewports) and linetypes. In the Windows operating system, the extension can indicate what kind of drawing is contained in the file. For example, a DWG file has the extension.dwg and the extension.pdf implies that it is a PDF file. In a Windows document that contains drawings from different file types, the extension of the drawing set file may be.DWG,.DGN or.DAT.

As part of the drug war, the U.S. government has waged an aggressive campaign to stop people from growing medical marijuana in their own homes. It’s hard to find someone who wouldn’t consider that an overreaction — especially with recent events like the DEA arresting armed employees of a Colorado medicinal marijuana dispensary. But a new study by a group of law professors and doctors presents a strong argument for the government to legalize home-grow.
Specifically, the study, published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Law, Medicine and Ethics, suggests that allowing people to grow their own medical marijuana is more cost-effective than the current criminal approach.
Home-grow is cost-effective
This study is based on the experiences of one Colorado medical marijuana patient, Kenneth Butler, who was diagnosed with HIV-AIDS and Hepatitis C. Butler said his doctor urged him to keep growing his own medicinal marijuana because the current methods of drug distribution are prohibitively expensive.
The study is based on simulations that provide a close analysis of the costs of home-grow and the cost of relying on the existing system. According to the researchers, home-grow costs less than 30 percent of the current supply-and-demand method of distribution. The study also suggests that home-grow is more likely to save on enforcement costs and the crime associated with illegal drugs.
The fact that home-grow isn’t more expensive than the current system of distributing marijuana is interesting. As it stands, the only legal way to get medical marijuana is to go to a dispensary and pay a fee for a strain with a specific dosage. That doesn’t mean the patients can’t get it for free from friends and family. But when Butler grew the marijuana for himself, he didn’t have to pay anything.
The study suggests that home-grow is more cost-effective than the current system of distributing marijuana.
The report also concludes that home-grow patients are not more likely to get high than patients who take medicine from a dispensary. Indeed, the study suggests that there’s actually an advantage to home-grow. Patients who grow their own pot can smoke it multiple times a day. That means they’re more likely to stick to their prescribed dose.
